What is the idea behind this exhibition, why do you chose to show
exactly these drawings?
To be honest there is no specific idea behind it, this exibibion show a selection of my latest drawings. I choose them because i think they match all together, some series presented has inner stories but the whole thing is not really made with a guideline or a “concept” attached to it.
There is alot of energy in your drawings, alot of lines, how do you
work and what is your inspiration?
There are alot of things that inspires me, things in the past and things today. I am making drawings usually with no plans it is more like a raw energy put on paper. Sometimes nothing comes out of it hopefully most of the time something that i value is hapening.
Most of the walls in the gallery present your own drawings but there is
also a wall with drawings made in collaboration with Tetsunori Tawaraya,
could you tell us something about these drawings and the quality in
working together?
Tetsunori Tawaraya is a fantastic japanese artist living in Tokyo. I met him a year ago in the flesh but used to exchange mails with him for a little longer. He came to Europe in january 2009 and then we drew this serie of 40 drawings or so. First Tet drew something then i drew something inspired by it etc. I believe we share a lot of things with Tetsunori so it was quite natural and easy to do this collab.
